In September 2024, the United Nations gathered in NYC for the "Summit of the Future". Two packed days of world leaders giving speeches, making hefty commitments and casually using terms like multilateral institutional interoperability.
If you weren't saying multilateral institutional interoperability with your friend group that week, you might've been on your phone, trying not to doomscroll.
So we teamed up with the United Nations Foundation to get young people everywhere watching and actually caring about the topics at the summit, with a live broadcast that turned big global talks into something you’d actually stream on purpose.
With director Tim Bierbaum, we invited popular creators to explain complicated issues in their voice, giving talent like Felipe Neto, Lea’h Sampson, Heidi Becker, Dan Rosen, Hallie Haas, Liah Yoo, and Pooja Tripathi the mini-mic to unpack policy choices in new and unexpected ways. We also worked with UN heavy-hitters like UN Spokesperson for the Secretary-General Stéphane Dujarric, Elizabeth Cousens, Eddie Ndopu, and Noreyana Fernando to bring the UN Summit outside for the first time in history.
